Dearest Yuletide writer,
I'm so glad we found each other! This is one of my favorite events of the year. I've got some prompts here if you need prompting, but just know that whatever you write will be met with glee and appreciation.
Karppi / Deadwind (TV)
I watched this show and I immediately shipped Karppi/Nurmi like I was on fire. I haven't felt these feelings about a straight couple in like fifteen years. I think what I love most about their dynamic is that they're both tough, they're both hopeless, they both have demons. I love her grief. I love his substance abuse issues. Anything that deals with either of those things would gladden my heart, but in general I just want to see these two in all their glory. Her hair! His espresso! I love that what they have first and foremost is a friendship, but also, wow, sexual tension.
Billy Elliot (2000)
Billy, Michael, friendship, ballet, dresses, anything else that tickles your fancy! Any age, any additional characters, any rating. It all delights me. I totally see them hooking up down the road or I totally see them as just friends. I'm also perfectly fine with a generous side helping of angst, or whatever other emotion creeps in.
Lymond Chronicles - Dorothy Dunnett
Happiness for Jerott? A happy ending after the series concludes, even? That might be too much to ask, although I would love to read it. He's a testy, angsty dude, and angstiness and testiness are pretty great to read.
Let's face it. Anything is welcome.
I'm cool with any rating for any of these prompts!
General things I love: gayness; queerness; you get the picture; also: mental health stuff; friendship; the minutia of life; finding the epic in the mundane.
Things I have been known to dislike, most of which probably wouldn't come up in these fandoms, but just to be safe: most high school AUs; most coffee shop AUs; basically AUs that remove too much of the context that makes the canon the canon; vampires, werewolves, zombie-hunters; overlong dream sequences; and, above all, nicknames with no basis in canon.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, in advance!
